The 3.1 release will mainly include additions to the Ribbon Control (various CommandAdapters) and a sample application that uses the Ribbon to accompany it.

The existing sample applications will also be updated to reflect some changes suggested in the forum (re creating a NavBarGroup in code).

Also plan to implement any TODO's that suggest a clean up or ask a question.
And finally, will add some unit tests (we'll go with XUnit since it's CodePlex)

The 3.1 release will mainly include additions to the Ribbon Control (various CommandAdapters) and a sample application that uses the Ribbon to accompany it.

This is a copy of the original GotDotNet repository version, known as _the second drop_. Hence we've referred to this as _Version 2_.

This release adds support for ribbons, form-skinning, various CommandAdapters and UIElements are also added, some of which extend CAB as well as offer basic support for DevExpress controls.

The _BankTeller QuickStart_ application has also been updated to incorporate samples of the new XtraWindowWorkspace and DxMenuItemCommandAdapter.

Other changes of note:
* The file structure of the release has been reorganised so that things are consistent and slightly easier to find
* The project has been renamed from *DevExpress.CompositeUI* to *CABDevExpress.ExtensionKit* (to avoid conflicts with DevExpress' _Project Converter_ tool)
* The base namespace has changed from *DevExpress.CompositeUI* to *CABDevExpress* (this will break existing code)
* CAB dlls are now included as part of the release to allow for easier download-and-compile
* The code has been cleaned up to some extent, to remove unused includes, unused variables and other anomolies

This release significantly enhances the original 2 drops on GotDotNet and due to the name changes we recommend you upgrade now to simplify any future release integration. That is to say, the project and namespace changes make this a fairly significant release, best to get it sorted now - we won't change them again.

The second drop of the CAB DevExpress Extension kit has just been added to CodePlex, There are no changes compared to the version released in April 2006. From the second drop release notes: Changes in this release are related to the XtraNavBar. It's now possible to add a BarItem after a BarItem registered as a UIExtensionSite. In the first drop new BarItems would always be added at the end of the BarLinksColletion. This should be a drop-in replacement of the first drop. Included in this release is also a version of the BankTeller quick start, using only DevExpress controls.
